Kate Barrett: The Minigames: Volume 3

Kate Barrett is back with her wildest, strangest, craziest album yet!

The creator of Ready Player Fuck and Pottergame (also included in this pack) proudly presents 9 new games developed throughout 2020 that act as something of a journal of that year, as well as weird experiences in their own right!

(It doesn't include the last of those games, Last Game Of The Year 2020, because it was released seperately, here!)

KATE'S PICKS:

Pottergame stands as a critically acclaimed takedown of J.K rowling's comments on transgender people midway through the year. Described by Rock Paper Shotgun as "a broken, nostalgic collectathon that’s at once a shovelware joke and a cutting criticism of the Potterverse."

Super Distressing Planet stands as the final game I made before the U.S Election, and it feels very appropriate as a summation of the stress and anger of the preceeding 4 years of the donald trump administration.

TOPHEAVY is a strategy game of blowing up blocks, followed by a minigame at the end where you have to survive in a room slowly filling up with boxes. It's fast-paced and fun once you get into the loop of it.

Mini Museum is a collection of some of the things I've modelled and coded, put together into a little museum.

The saves appear as text files in the game's folder. They all begin with an underscore so they go to the top of the folder.

Controls for each game are usually detailed in the game itself. But if you're stuck for what to do: arrow keys, Z,X,C, esc, are the default buttons in a lot of them.
